Introducing Pleasanton Chiropractor Dr. David De Bonis

Pleasanton chiropractor, Dr. David De BonisWhen I was 10 years old I remember walking down the street one day with my dad when we were approached by a sweet elderly woman.  Coming right over to my father, she said "Hi Dr. De Bonis!"  Then, with the utmost sincerity she turned to me, looking me right in the eye, and said "Your father saved my life."

Being the son of a chiropractor, I've had a lifetime of witnessing the amazing results when the function of the nervous system is restored through chiropractic.  I knew from an early age that I was destined to become a chiropractor so that I would have the opportunity to impact the lives of people just like that elderly woman.

I am a graduate of Life Chiropractic College West.  I chose Life-West because I felt it was the finest academic institution in the profession, and I still do.  Although academics are a major part of education, the most memorable and perhaps most valuable lessons are those gleaned from one on one conversations with the most dedicated professors.  Lessons in clinical courage, patient education, and bedside manner stand shoulder to shoulder with anatomy, neurology, and radiology.

Education is never ending; it is a part of what I do every day.  In my office, the care I provide includes patient education so that you learn what I learn.  Being well is all about understanding how the choices we make affects our health.  In addition to providing the finest chiropractic care, my mission is to support the people of Pleasanton in their journey to wellness.

On a personal note, my wife Mary and I chose to locate in Pleasanton because of the strength and character of the community.  We have roots going back more than 30 years in Pleasanton, and we are committed to do our part in making it an even better place to live and work.

My approach to creating wellness for myself is the same that I recommend for my patients.  Eating healthy foods, daily exercise, maintaining a positive attitude, proper rest, and chiropractic care are my five pillars of health.  Together, they represent all you need to maximize your health potential.

I consider myself an excellent listener and hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person.  Whether you have a specific health concern or you are interested in taking proactive steps to maximize your health, please give our office a call.

Dr. D Asks some important questions of interest to Pleasanton residents - Chiropractor Pleasanton Dr. D Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
